
The film version of the popular video game, “Minecraft”, has been given a director by Warner Bros. and it is Rob McElhenney, the writer, co-star co-creator of the FX network television show “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”. McElhenney has directed three episodes of the show along with one short and a television movie [“Pariah”] but this will be his feature film directorial debut.
“Minecraft” is not currently scheduled for release but is expected to have a 2017 release date.
